We've summarised the most frequently asked questions about our demo program below. They cover everything from the process of booking out the demo bike through to what you should bring. What is the Giant Demo Bike Program?

The Giant demo program takes some of our favourite Giant and Liv models and makes them available for anyone to ride. Best of all, the program is managed through our network of Giant dealers, making bikes available nationwide at a time, and location, convenient for you.

Why should I consider booking a demo bike?

If you want to test a bike you are considering buying, then a demo bike booking is an excellent way to get all your questions answered before you take the plunge. Similarly, if you are a road cyclist who wants to try mountain biking for the first time (or vice versa) - a demo bike booking might just open up a whole new world. Regardless of your reason, you will love it!

Can anyone book a demo bike?

Anyone who is over 16 and holds a current Australian driver's license (or other, acceptable photo ID) can book a Giant or Liv demo bike.


What kinds of Giant and Liv bikes can I book?

Each year, we make a selection of Giant and Liv bike models available for you to take out and demo. This includes both on-road and off-road models, at different price points and with different component specifications. If you need help in determining the right bike for you, please contact your local Giant dealer. Availability will depend on each store so check with your local participating Giant dealer should you have any questions.


How do I book a demo bike?

Once you complete your online enquiry you will receive an email confirmation. Please note this is an enquiry only at this stage, and is not confirmed or finalised. Your local store will also receive a notification and will be in touch within 48 hours to confirm your request.


How do I collect my demo bike?

Once your booking is finalised, your nominated local Giant store will make sure your bike is in-store, cleaned and tuned for your allotted pickup time. When you arrive at the store, you will need to fill out some paperwork and be fitted for your bike (so it fits you like a glove) - so please allow a little extra time. If you have any questions, this would be a great time to ask the friendly Giant store staff. From there, you are free to take the bike and get riding. If you drove to the store, make sure you have enough room in the back (or have suitable roof racks/bike racks installed).


What do I need to bring in order to collect my demo bike?

You will need to bring valid photo ID (Australian driver's license, passport or similar). If you are supplying your own pedals (see below) it would be handy if you brought those in as well so they can be fitted. If you are riding the bike out of the store, you will also need to bring an Australian standards-approved helmet and any riding gear you may need.

Is there anything I need to do before I go riding?

You should always quickly check over the bike and make sure it is ready to ride. This includes checking the brakes and, if you have removed the wheels for transport, that the wheels are properly seated in the drop-outs with the skewers done up tight. If you have any questions about your demo bike, please contact the Giant dealer you picked your demo bike up from.
